Knowing when to replace a furnace instead of repairing it can save homeowners and businesses time, money, and stress. At Villas Plumbing & Air Conditioning, one of the biggest red flags we look for is rust and corrosion. Once those start showing up, it’s often a sign that the system is reaching the end of its life.
Another major consideration is the warranty. Replacing a single part will typically get you a one-year manufacturer warranty. But if you replace the entire system, you’re looking at a ten-year warranty, which is a much better investment in the long run.

Furnace Sizing and Selection

When helping clients choose the right furnace, we start by identifying the type of gas they use. From there, we recommend a range of systems based on size, efficiency, and performance. We offer units with varying SEER ratings to match the customer’s needs and budget. Our preferred brands include Bryant, Carrier, and Goodman, but we’re equipped to repair any major manufacturer’s equipment. The final choice is always up to the customer, and we’re here to guide them with honest, informed recommendations.

Installation time depends heavily on where the furnace is located. If it’s in a garage, it might be a fairly quick job, taking about four to six hours. But if the unit is tucked into a second-floor attic space, it could take anywhere from eight to twelve hours. We always communicate the expected timeline upfront so there are no surprises.

Furnace Repair and Maintenance

To keep a new furnace running at its best, we give every customer a few simple but important maintenance tips. The most crucial is to change out filters regularly. On older systems, we also recommend checking the capacitor levels on the fan motors to make sure everything is working properly.

At Villas Plumbing & Air Conditioning, our goal is to provide long-term comfort and peace of mind with every furnace we install or replace.
